Blackburn return to the scene of their heaviest defeat of last term on Monday with Mark Hughes admitting it will be no easier this time around.Rovers left the Emirates Stadium back in December 2006 having been thumped 6-2 by Arsenal.Although Hughes argued they did not warrant having such a result inflicted on them - they conceded three goals in the last five minutes - he is aware the Gunners have the ability to repeat the feat.
"It will be a big test coming up against Arsenal as they are one of the top teams, not only in England but in Europe as well," said Hughes.
"Last season people will look at the scoreline and think it was a little bit of a walkover, but that doesn't really tell the whole story.
"With 10 minutes to go we were very much in the game and pushing for an equaliser, but then got hit very quickly on the break.
"They are very good at that as we know and the scoreline itself was hard to take because it didn't really show how well we had actually done in the game."
It could be argued the Gunners are playing better now than they were the last time they encountered Rovers and such is the depth of quality in Wenger's squad, planning for every eventuality is almost an impossibility.
"They are an exceptional team with fantastic talents right through their side and are playing exceptionally well at the moment," Hughes admitted.
"It is very difficult to legislate for just one individual when they've got so many good players that can have an impact on the game."
