After defending champions Manchester United lost to Manchester City handing the advantage to leaders Arsenal, the Red Devils midfielder Michael Carrick, however, feels that the Gunners will also drop points as the race for the Premiership title intensifies.Arsene Wenger’s side can take their lead to five points if they win at home against Blackburn Rovers tonight. But the 26-year-old England international is not too worried at this stage of the season and believes the Red Devils can overtake their rivals.
"There are still games to play," Carrick, who scored a goal late on at Old Trafford but couldn’t prevent Sir Alex Ferguson’s side from going down 2-1 in the derby yesterday, told MUTV.
"I don't think Arsenal will go the rest of the season without dropping points. If they did, fair play to them.
"There are still going to be ups and downs in the title race, and hopefully there will be more ups for us and we can overtake them."
