Pato Hopeful Of Playing Against Arsenal

Milan wonderkid Alexandre Pato says that he is hopeful of recovering from his ankle injury in time for the Champions League clash with Arsenal.

The 18-year-old picked up an ankle injury in the closing stages of last Sunday’s 1-0 win at Fiorentina and had to be stretchered off the pitch.

Initially it looked almost certain that Pato would be out of the first leg against Arsenal in London on February 20.

However the recent news coming out of Milan has been much more promising, and the Brazilian is remaining optimistic.

“My ankle is better,” said the striker who has scored four times in six Serie A games since his debut against Napoli last month. “I hope to recover in time for Arsenal. I will do everything I can to be there.”
